What goes up must come down!  In July when our tomato were reaching for the eaves troughs it felt like they would continue to grow on to reach even the second floor! The problem is, in a word, gravity. When tomatoes and cucumber started to grow the earth's gravitational field had it's way. So you see, the seeming unlimited growth had to backpedal.
