Salad from our Tower Gardens! This is kind of a milestone. We have a salad today including kale, cucumber, tomato and lettuce coming from the towers. Tomatoes are ripening daily now!

Antisocial zucchini? Maybe it just doesn't want to be associated with something as nerdy as the Tower Garden!

What goes up must come down!  In July when our tomato were reaching for the eaves troughs it felt like they would continue to grow on to reach even the second floor! The problem is, in a word, gravity. When tomatoes and cucumber started to grow the earth's gravitational field had it's way. So you see, the seeming unlimited growth had to backpedal.

Found object. I want to show you this one. As you know, sometimes what we see through the viewfinder is more creative and abstract than what we can dream up with the brush.

Harvest! We have been harvesting salad greens since St. Paddy's day but now the cucumbers and tomatoes are coming along too. Looks like well after first frost we can enjoy fresh produce as we can bring the towers in on the cold nights.

Sumac! It's only August 12 and it is starting to turn red. Of course, when it turns you'll see more vivid color but isn't this kind of early? It's been a different kind of year. In this photograph you see the brush strokes of the Master Painter.

Tower Garden. From now on a ladder will be needed to tend to the top part of my tallest tower garden! And I didn't even buy the extension kit. This is tomatoes and cucumbers on the basic five-level tower garden.
